IPad mini with iMessage problem.

I just activated a new AT&T card in my iPad mini and it's been working very well. Except for iMessages and FaceTime.
iMessages fails to send everything and I only receive notifications from AT&T.
FaceTime does nothing at all.

I attempted to log out of and back into my apple account and it is still failing to log back in.

Anyone have any idea what's happening and/or how to fix it?
