AT&T unlocking service is a joke....New customer and never will I be fooled again!!!

For those thinking about switching to ATT,  you better prepare yourself for what is coming.

 

I used to be with Tmobile for at least 10 years.   Tmobile, their network is ok..not as strong as ATT from where I live though.  So I purchased an iphone 5 ..from someone.    I asked the ATT sale rep to do a scan of IMEI for me.   She confirmed that my IMEI is good to go...and that I can unlock with att, only if I have an account.   After I signed up, called ATT and they told me to go ahead and fill out the unlock request form.   Never told me about having to wait for a certaint amount of time.  

Called them back and one rep did an IMEI scan and told me that I needed to wait 40 days.   

After 40 days, I submitted my request for unlock.  I got an email confirming that my unlock is approved and there is a list of instruction on how I should erase and connect my iphone to intune for unlock to happen.

Then a couple days later, they sent me an email ..stating that my request is once again denied just after they approved it.   What a freaking joke.  I totally sick of them monkeying around as a business like this.

Anyways,  I was about to give up, but I decided to give them a chance.

Then I called ATT again, this time they said I will have to wait 60 days.

Waited 60 days, then submitted my form for unlock again.  Guess what  happen?

You got it,   they denied me again.   This time another rep,  told me that my iphone can never be unlock because I bought it from some else.   I think she is totally have no idea what she is talking about.   

At this point, I know for sure that ATT does not want its customer to have unlock phones.  They think that we are going to switch to other carriers.    Anyways, you can keep your service.  Thank you for showing how important I am as a customer.  Your broken promise and below par service ..might need to improve, that is all I have to say.
