We've had multiple phones with AT&T for almost 15 years. We have 3 lines on AT&T next. What a mistake. We were told at the store we MUST have insurance for these phones. Made sense so we got the insurance. My husband got his phone first and online. He remembers getting insurance and I even remember asking about the extra payments on our bill. He said it included insurance. He now has an issue charging his phone, which is a little over a year old. I called AT&T today to talk about a new phone for him. I was told we didn't have insurance on his phone. We are screwed. We have to pay for the full price for the phone since it is considered damaged. I was also told that we do not have to carry insurance on our AT&T next phones, although it is a good idea. I feel completely betrayed by AT&T. Someone is lying here. AT&T next was called the next great thing but it's a huge scam. Don't do it. I know as soon as we pay off these phones or the contract ends we will each individually switch to another cell phone company until we are all there. I am done with AT&T double talk, the fine print on their contracts they don't mention, and being told something by one AT&T employee only to be told something different by another. I am scared now what is going to happen at the supposed end of our contracts. We will probably end up owing money and have nothing to show for it. I am very loyal to companies. But I don't like being lied to. Get out the magnifying glass and read that fine print before signing anything and make sure you know 100% what you're getting into. I know some of this may be my ignorance but I have been trusting AT&T for as long as I have owned a cell phone.
