Good news,
As many of you, I have been browsing the forums everyday with a glimmer of hope that my phone would be here sooner rather than later. A little background information:
SEPT 12- Ordered 2 phones (1 SG 6+ 64gb & 1 G 6+ 64gb) 8AM pacific time. It was immediately processed and I received an email saying that the expected shipping date for both of the phones was 11/9-11/27. The customer service rep in store assured me that it was incorrect and that I would have both of my phones on the 19th. So I walked out of the store hopeful.
SEPT 19- I am at work at waiting on a notice from att that my phones had been delivered, nothing. By the end of the day I get an email about 1 of the phones saying the exact same thing that the first email said. 11/9-11/27. So I decided to give Att a call and see what was going on, at that point they didn't have a sheet that told them what to say and they were quite flustered. Spent half an hour on the phone and was told nothing, i was angry.
every other day I called to get an update through the 877 #. Nothing at all. Backorder...everyday.
Until the 27th of Sept...I received an email saying your order has shipped. I was so excited..Until I found out that it was my mom's phone that had shipped and mine had no updates.
That same day I called to get information on my own phone, nothing. But there was a special surprise because this time they had a special sheet to read off of. IT TOLD ME NOTHING.
I called the 877 every day again...
Well here we are 6 weeks later and I'm making jokes on twitter about how pigs will fly before I have a new phone in my hand and my phone has a new text.
(I like to shop so I put bank alerts on my phone)
It was a charge to my account for 78.20$ from AT&T.
At this point I was upset because I know they had already taken that amount out of my account the day I purchased the phone because I watched my account decrease.
I called CS and they didn't know what was going on but told me my phone should be there before 11/7
I hung up and called again, this one was extra friendly..she felt my pain I guess and offered me a free phone case for my troubles but still didn't answer my question and said my phone would be here 11/9-11/27. Now the problem with that is...the previous rep told me there was an update to my account at 6:57 am and it had processed my order and was going to be here before 11/7.
Now before I went to bed last night I checked my email and I had one from att telling me that my status has changed from processing to shipped.
It's a miracle. 6 weeks later and I will finally have my phone tomorrow.
Don't give up hope, but let this be a lesson!
Lesson learned...Order from apple like I usually do and you will have your phone on the release date.
