Iphone 6 & 6+ enlightment: An insight to the new iphone shipping delays

Well fellow Iphotne users, Apple has finally released their latest additions to the Iphone line of products.  Like so many others I to lined up (either in-store or online) to purchase one of those popular items.  I myself purchased an Iphone 6+ 64gb in silver.  But what has plagued me and many others is the long delays!  I may not have ordered on 9/12 but 9/14 was still the preorder weekend.  I have a delivery ESTIMATE of 11/9-11/27.   Many of the preorders are looking at that date.

We are all looking daily to see if that splendid email with tracking information is in our inbox, and the majority of us find nothing.  Hoping that maybe, just maybe our orders are going to be shipped early.  But not to dismay some who order much later or plan to order, there are some preordes that have been passed their delivery dates for some time now.

At this point those who have been waiting are not just waiting they are wanting answers as to "why is it taking SO long?"   Many just would like a reasonable explaination with a little more detail that "Backordered".  Including myself.  No matter how many times you talk to a customer service rep, you are ALWAYS gonna get exactly what the computer tells them to say due to company rules and regulations.  Sorry folks we are screwed!  But are we?

Okay don't take this as the truth but as a theory.

Preorder weekend topped out at over 10 million units sold.  As the days progressed the number jumped to 20 million units and continues to grow.  Now I have come accrossed some information that AT&T warehouses are stocked WEEKLY, not daily, with new iphones.  Okay, are you still with me?  After some reseach, I found that last year apple could produce 500,000 units of the iphones a day, but of course that was last year!  I then found an estimate of 130,000 units a day of the Iphone 6 & 6+'s are being produced.  Are you getting my drift yet?  Well of those think of a large percent of those are just the Iphone 6....let's say 60% so the other 40% is the iphone 6+.  Okay!  So now a small percent of each model is gonna go to the store sites across the country. Then all the Apple online store orders are given priority over carrier orders. (I hate to say it but it's true)  Okay that gives carriers the leftovers.  But then you have  more than one carrier that offers the Iphones, SOOOOOOO, it again gets divided up. So those Iphone 6+'s are extremely rare!  GOOD GOLLY WE ARE GONNA BE WAITING LONGER THAN WE T!HOUGHT WE WERE!

BUT, never fear!  Apple has come through for us just as we were losing all hope and respect.  Apple recently announced that they are shifting the production of some of the 6 to the 6+ to get them out to those preorder customers.  The Iphone 6 they say they are keeping up better than the 6+.  Apple is disappointed in themselves for getting behind too, so don't be too harse on them.

Now, for those of you wondering why it seems to be like a lottery that your phone gets shipped well in a way it is.  But it's more along the lines of Apple whether or not your specific phone was sent to your carrier's warehouse for delivery.

Anyway I'm hoping that some of you folks got the idea, because I'm tired of typing, and for those who didn't, I'm sorry, but I'm tired of typing.

For now happy waiting!  or not...
