Bottom line: You DO NOT unlock customers' devices

Bought an iPhone 6 and hoped that ATT would unlock my iPhone 5s to use while travelling internationally. Unlock request denied despite the fact that there is a new phone suing that line!

 

Compare:

Verizon: subsidized phones sold unlocked

T-Mobiles: full price phones sold unlocked/ monthly payment phones are unlocked after two months of service.

AT&T: NOT unlocking phones even after 2 (TWO) years and the end of the contract committment.

 

Luckily, I live in NYC where T-mobile has excellent coverage. I am therefore waiting impatiently to serve my AT&T sentence and to switch over to T-Mobile in December. 

 

You guys simply hate your customers.
