I'm a new customer. Just ported 2 lines from Sprint yesterday and got 2 iPhone 6. One of the phones is having issues with incoming calls. The phone rings, but answering yields dead silence and caller gets sent to voice mail. Number has ported completely, incoming calls are sent to ATT voice mail and voicemail shows up on the phone.
What it seems to me that is happening, this line cannot figure out how to route non HD Voice calls when LTE is turned on. I spent hours today with tech support. They re provisioned, reset, whatever, re activated, but to no avail. After re activating it seems to work for 5-10 minutes but then it goes back to misbehaving.
I ruled out a hardware issue. I was able to swap the phone and get a replacement at the store. New iPhone 6 does the same thing.
I have no clue what else to try. Tech support opened the case with network support, but that might take few days. I don't want to run out of the grace period to cancel if I have to look for different providers.
I made an appointment at Apple Store, but I doubt they can do much as it is most likely issue on AT&T end.
Any suggestions on what else to do or try?
