I've been an AT&T customer for many years now and have had different iPhones since the first one back in 2007. My wife and I are both grandfathered in the unlimited data plan and I pay around $185 a month on my cell phone bill. I would like to reduce that amount because my current job isn't as financially stable as my last one since I moved out of state. I really don't want to give up my unlimited data plan, however, if the savings are good enough, I'll go ahead and do so. The problem I'm having is that every person I've talked to with AT&T has given me a different figure for my monthly bill. I've chatted with three representatives, and went into an AT&T store and talked to a salesman who gave me yet another figure. Can AT&T not get their employees educated well enough to give me a sound figure? In each conversation I've had with them, my requests were the same:
I told them I would like to upgrade both our phones to the new iPhones. One for the 64GB iPhone 6 and the other for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus. I would like to get the 2GB of data on the Next 18 month plan. I live in Illinois, so the sales tax I think is 15.7%, if I can remember that correctly.
From what I described above, what would be my monthly payments? Also, if I were to put down an extra amount of money, let's say $250, would they allow that in order for me to reduce my monthly bill even further?
