Me: Why is the shipping date on the new iPhone 6s plus so late

Joshua F: So the late is so far back so as to finalize and to prepare everything before shipping.Joshua F: The pre-ordering is so we know how much is truly needed, etc. It just really helps with the logistics of it all.
Me: right below the pre order button it indicates your item will ship Oct 25 or later
Joshua F: Once the product has been finalized as my conjuration.
Me: ok but it is available a whole month before
Me: That is it is available on September 25
Me: i dont think it takes over 30 days to finalize or prepare everything
Joshua F: There's a lot of pre-ordering.

Me: is it backordered or do you need to finalize and prepare?

Joshua F: It is on backorder but it'll ship on the dates that are listed at the very latest but it should ship on the 25'th of this month.
Me: I'm sorry but can you clarify what you just said

Joshua F: But it sholdn't be shipped any later than the 25'th.

Me: Not at all

Me: I am inquiring because I need to know when I will get the item
Joshua F: So it is backordered, although it should be shipped by the 25'th.

Me: I want to order a phone and know with some certainty when I will get it

Me: Then why does the site indicate otherwise?

Joshua F: Although this is backordered, the expected is that these will be shipped by no later than the 25'th of this month.
Joshua F: Although the Web site says October, we are saying the 25'th.

Joshua F: I'm trying to make this as clear for you as possible, Christina. I'm sorry you didn't understand.

Me: I appreciate your help and it's not about making it CLEAR to me.. The fact that the site indicates a date that is over a month away from the date you are giving me does not assure me that I will get it this month. Does that make sense to you?

Joshua F: It's not a problem, I gotcha. It's just that information is a constantly changing factor and sometimes we don't have the time to officially officially change information because it changes so suddenly and it can't always be kept up-to-date with on a immediate basis. Altough we are now expecting a different date, if you still do not feel assured, you can go by the date on our Web site as for additional secure if this makes you feel better, although we do have full faith in Apple's ability and in their take on this challenge.

Joshua F: Are you looking for a solid or a absolute, no excuses to fullfil kind of thing or what?Me: Not sure what you just said, but just to let you know, I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years and have never had a conversation quite like this with an AT&T rep.
Joshua F: Please understand that we are providing the most accurate and most reputable information to the present place in time. We do care for our customers and that we do believe that the new iPhone can be released sooner than the 25'th of this month. It'll be a great phone and the new expectations set fourth for this new release date is a amazing and unprecedented event.Joshua F: Are you ready to continue?
