My iPhone died yesterday around 6:45 pm (not uncommon. It has had a shorty battery pretty much since I got it). I plugged it into my external charger as per the norm, and it still has not turned on (it's now 12:22 the next day). It's been charging the while time, minus the moments it took to switch between outlets and such. It shows me the charging symbol, but that's it.
We've pretty much concluded the battery is just done. I tried to start an online chat with apple support, and I also tried clicking on the "send your phone to the store" option. Unfortunately for both if these they require my phones serial number, which would be fine if I could get it off my phone. But I can't. Because it's dead.
Can AT&T find my serial number elsewhere? Or can they send it in to apple for me? I'm planning on going there after work. I really need my phone as it's my main contact for work and family, and with my grandma currently in the hospital it's my lifeline to updates about her condition, and the nearest apple store is over two hours away. I could really use some help.
