iPhone data loss via wifi

I have an iPhone 4s GoPhone running iOS 8.1.2. I do not have mobile data. iCloud is turned off.
I live out in the country, so at home I have Hughesnet satellite internet. On Hughesnet, I only get 250mb of data allowance per day, plus 1 day of "rollover data", for a maximum of 500mb available. Thru my home wifi, the phone is using ALL my data allowance! The only way to stop the data leakage is to turn the phone off or put it in Airplane Mode. Of course I then miss phone calls and text messages, and can't use the phone for Facebook or other apps. Even with no apps running, the drain is still there. It does it whether phone is plugged in (charging) or not, but it does seem to be worse when it's charging. I've turned off notifications, auto-background refresh, auto-app refresh ...everything that I can think of, in an effort to stop the drain.

How can I determine what is eating up my data?? ...which app or whatever? My phone is almost disabled because of this! HELP!
