I ordered iphone 6 plus, 128gb space grey, on 09/22. Received email and order status of 'processing order' online and phone system stating item on backorder. Shipping dates were 10/31-11/10. received email late on friday, 11/07, stating they would not be able to meet the shipping date of 11/10 and new shipping date is 'unknown'. Beyond frustrated since not one person at AT&T can give any insight whatsoever...all responsibility pushed back on Apple for not supplying enough even though most carriers have much much shorter wait or even IN STOCK phones. Worst part is that once this phone arrives, I am only giving AT&T more business by passing along current phone to son and thus making it a family plan for even more money. I think the consumer is getting screwed, plain and simple. Once upon a time, AT&T was the only iPhone carrier, which is why i switched. Now that they are not, perhaps I should see what else is available out there from another carrier that cares about their customers. Bottom line, if you do not have the inventory, and cannot ensure inventory, do not make the sale or take the orders...as Seinfeld one said, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation.
