All of the references that follow are regarding orders placed in an AT&T store and all the ordered iPhones are space gray.
I placed an orded for a 64GB iPhone 6 on Sept. 16. That phone has been delivered and activated.
I placed 3 orders on Sept. 19 (all entered within a few minutes of each other). Two orders for a 64 GB iPhone 6 and one order for a 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus. One iPhone 6 has been shipped and delivery is expected early next week.
The online order status for the iPhone 6 Plus shows the Item Status as "Preparing to Ship" and a Shipping Date of "11/09/14 - 11/27/14".
The final iPhone 6 order is the one that raises a major concern. By the time I got home from the AT&T store on Sept. 19, I had emails from AT&T for two of the orders (the 6 Plus and one 6) saying that they were in the process of being fulfilled and showing estimated shipping dates. I received no such email for the third order (the other iPhone 6). The online order status for this last order (again it's a Space Gray 64GB iPhone 6) shows only a description and a quantity. No "Item Status" or "Shipping Date" is shown.
I've had several conversations with AT&T and the explanation is that the phone is on backorder and that's why I'm not seeing any status information on it. But now it's been nearly 3 weeks since I placed the order and I'm wondering if there is something else going on here, particulary after reading the various experiences related in this forum.
Anyone else have a similar experience? Any further insights from AT&T?
